6/6/2023 0 Comments The crow 1/4 mile timeSome wild turkey hens have been seen chasing after and attacking smaller birds of prey, mainly owls and hawks around 1/3rd to 1/2 of their size when they threaten their chicks. Hens with poults (poults are baby turkeys) can be extremely aggressive if running is not an option to save their offspring. The following is a bit of information about how turkeys act when they or their offspring are threatened, and yes they will also take the same action against crows. This is called a "shock gobble" because they sort of do it reflexively to a point. Turkeys try to out-noise any other bird in their area, and will often respond to owls or crows.
